Phase 1
Mental Activities:
5 - 60 minutes per day as tolerated
Examples: Reading, journaling, drawing, computer, phone/tablet, video games, tv, music.
Light Cardiovascular Physical Activity:
5-20 minutes per day as tolerated (non impact)
Examples: Walking outside, recumbent stationary bike, ellipitcal
Note: elliptical and bike may be too much at first. If either provokes symptoms, walking outside is recommended (treadmill walking may be too much with a moving belt for those with vestibular disturbances)
Can you complete 20 minutes of light cardio activity without increasing symptoms?
No? Repeat Phase 1
Yes? Progress to Phase 2
