Phase 3
Mental activities will remain relatively the same as Phase 2
Phase 3 physical activity includes similar exertion to Phase 2 yet Phase 3 progresses to a longer duration
Mental Activities:
Baking, reading, journaling, studying, drawing, computer, tablet, baking, video games, tv, music
Goal: 5-60 minutes per day as tolerated
Physical Activity [Moderate Aerobic/Exertion Activities]:
Light Cardiovascular activities at short duration:
Light walking, biking, or elliptical activity
Goal: 40 minutes without provoking symptoms
Resistance activities at short duration:
Body weight resistance and/or resistance bands at low intensity
Goal: 40 minutes without provoking symptoms
Can you complete Phase 3 light cardio for 40 minutes and resistance activity for 40 minutes without increasing symptoms?
No? Repeat Phase 3
Yes? Progress to Phase 4
